For the event venue, we began by learning about regional construction from local builders, moving toward a model of pre-engineered industrial architecture instead of hospitality design. These inherited systems tie into local exchange networks expertise, finding a new value in an overlooked type. The project acts as a node to orient the current farm: using views and paths to connect field to greenhouse and planting beds to picturesque pathways. The venue itself comprises two intersecting programmatic bars. In one axis, the main entry gives way to back of house services, changing rooms, and other functions housed in a smaller nested structure. The perpendicular axis acts as a large, open hall to accommodated events of different sizes and types.
