For this studio apartment near Union Square we worked to open up a highly compartmentalized unit into a sequence of open spaces tied together by a pleated wall that bounces natural light throughout the interior.

A bit like a Swiss Army knife, the wall houses a kitchen pantry, closets, storage, a murphy bed and shelving on either side—freeing up space on either end, and making it easy for the owner to transform the unit from a living space to a salon to a private event space.
